Wonderful interview where the interviewer disappears. If only others could see how well this works. The people interviewed just pour their heart out and its so real, so honest, so sincere. The older guy in the white shirt at the end really brought a lot together for us. Whoever put this together is REALLY good at this! Such important messages for the world to see because we all are guilty of overpowering others in some way at some time to get what we want.

Children will use anything to feel superior to other children sometimes and if the parents don't correct bad behaviour, it simply continues. The Spanish culture is so class conscious. It all comes from that. But they don't want to criticize their own culture. Its ironic that indigenous people in Latin America can look down on black people when they face discrimination all the time from the Mestizo and Spanish people there. Shocking irony. This makes no sense because when you have problems to solve does it make sense to draw from part of the population or all of the population? In Guatemala and other Hispanic countries the people at the top are basically all Spanish. They are basically Europeans that haven't married outside of their own race for several generations and are seeking to retain their power and control over others with rather fierce determination. The pure Spanish are a tiny sliver of the population yet they control most of the life there. These are the people that get the top jobs. Some of that is their high education but a lot of it is pure discrimination to keep others out of their golden circle of prestige. Then when they have problems they can only draw on may 2% of the population. No wonder these countries are such disorganized and corrupt disasters. And by not opting for higher taxes to pay for free public education, they keep many of the non-Spanish out. School can be expensive and impossible for a poor family. So it just continues, generation upon generation. Is there any Spanish colonized countries in the world that are not incredibly corrupt? I cannot think of a single one.

Just learned more in depth about the Garifunas a few days ago, watching a video with an interview of Mr. Philip Flores of Livingston, such a charismatic and intelligent person. I think more than discrimination, the Garifuna culture is subject to a system similar to apartheid in South Africa, which is a system of segregation or discrimination based on grounds of race. Another contributing factor is that Livingston is not easily accessible by land.

It's the same with Gipsy(Romani) language in Europe. It's only taught in family and has no written culture, young gypsies are ashamed to speak it and the older ones are forgetting it. I'm half Gipsy half Serbian and everyone is in disbelief when I start speaking Rromanes(gipsy language). In the old days one couldn't be considered a Gipsy(Rrom) if he/she doesn't speak their language.

En centro america los goviernos no cubren la historia de los africanos, celebran a cristobal colon en vez de celebrar las diferentes culturas etnicas. Es una lastima que esta cultura sea religional en un pais que prefiere la cultura europea cuando la mayoria de sus cuidadanos hablan otros lenguas nativas I no la lengua de los conquistadores que abusaron con no solo la gente nativa, sino que economica mente i sicologicamente. Ellos los espanoles, siguen siendo espanoles, pero las culturas que conquistaron se burlan de sus propias costumbres I perdieron su identidad, hay que comendar a esta sociedad por mantener sus costumbres I cultura.
